If you think waste is someone else’s problem, think again. “Trashed” is a ground-breaking documentary examining the crisis of trash, highlighting how garbage threatens our health and our environment. Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons sets out on a worldwide investigation into our global garbage problem. Using Irons as a guide, filmmaker Candida Brady’s ‘Trashed’ follows him on a journey around the planet to illustrate the scale of the challenge we face. More importantly, ‘Trashed’ also carries a hopeful message about how communities around the world are already working to address the problem. You’ll also learn important lessons about how we can protect our vital natural resources through sustainable solutions. Some images may not be suitable for young children.
In addition to light refreshments, there will be informational tables and door prizes.
The free movie nights are presented by the City of Auburn’s Solid Waste & Recycling Department.
