Music Programs Through out the year, the City of Federal Way Recreation and Cultural Services Department offers a number of music classes for all ages.   Some of these classes may include: Music With Lyz and Kindermusik with Maica: Ages infant – 8 yrs These classes provide a continuum of learning music and many other skills. This is an early childhood music class designed to introduce good music, good literature, and much more!   Private Piano Classes: Ages 6 & Above Learn to play, or expand your skills and repertoire, in this friendly and encouraging environment of the private lessons. Upon completion, you will encompass all aspects of musical playing.   Beginning & Continuing Guitar: Ages 10 & Above Beginning Guitar Bring your own guitar and focus on skills such as strumming, reading TAB, and finger picking. This class is designed for those just starting out!   Continuing Guitar This is a great class for children through adults who have taken a prior beginning guitar class. Learn care and proper handling of the guitar and discover a wide range of music.   Intro To Rhythm and Percussion: Ages 8 & Above This class is geared toward drum enthusiasts and drum section students who have taken an introductory class. This is a more advanced class teaching intermediate percussion concepts and more advanced rudiments and syncopation designed to improve stick control and fluidity.
