Community Development Department
The Department of Community Development Services provides the following:
1) Neighborhood development through liaison, coordination, and support to existing and new community groups. 2) Management of general fund human services allocations and Community Block Grant (CDBG) funds. 3) Administration and enforcement of building codes for construction, including plan review and inspection. 4) Administration and enforcement of land use, environmental, and nuisance codes. 5) Long range planning and policy work, including the comprehensive plan updates, code revisions, and annexations. 6) Administration of the city's volunteer program. 7) Technical and administrative support for the Planning Commission, Human Services Commission, and the City Council's Land Use/Transporation Committee. The department has staff specifically designated to assist you with your questions and provide information that may be necessary.
