Bob is a long-time resident of Federal Way, and an honor graduate of Federal Way High School. He served for over 12 years at various posts around the US and in Europe as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers, and as a commander in the US Army Recruiting Command. After completing his service in the army, he returned to Federal Way where he raised his family. Bob continues to work in the energy industry, and also currently owns a part-time consulting and property management business.

Bob is married to Sue Sabado Celski, his high school classmate and wife of 38+ years. They have raised their three sons Chris, David and J.R. in Federal Way where they all attended Federal Way Public Schools. Bob and Sue enjoy being with their sons and their families, and traveling to various places around the world to see J.R. compete for the US in short track speedskating.
