PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Construct a compact roundabout at the intersection of SW Dash

Point Road and 47th Avenue SW.

CURRENT UPDATES:

10/10/23 - We are waiting on final asbuilt survey and this project will be ready to be accepted by WSDOT and City of Federal Way Council.

1/4/23 - Everything but permanent striping has been completed.  Striping will be complete in the spring when weather permits.

10/10/22 - The special order lids are in!  Construction will begin on 10/11/22 to install these items as well as curbing and striping.

7/26/22 - We are waiting on a few special order manhole lids then our contractor will be back on site to complete striping, some additional curb, and tree trimming.

6/16/22 - It's official, we have a roundabout!  Final paving will occur shortly (weather pending).  Final striping can not be placed for 21 days.  After paving, splitter islands will be installed.

5/25/22 - After a delay in materials the contractor will begin work next week starting May 31st.  New asphalt will be put down to widen and shape the roadway in preparation for curbing for the roundabout.  Expect one-lane traffic delays.

4/26/22 - Most of the infrastructure (storm pipe) has been installed.  Paving will begin soon.  We are currently waiting on some of the special order curbing for the roundabout.  Once this arrives work will proceed.

11/22/21 - Work continues below the surface on the upgrade to the storm system being installed.  This work is contingent on drier weather.  Work will be sporadic during this time of year.

10/20/21 - Subcontractors are installing soldier pile wall, expected to be complete by 10/29/21

9/29/21 - The contractor is currently installing new storm pipes and catch basins.

1/27/22 - The contractor has been limited as far as work that can be performed due to weather.  You will start to notice work occurring here and there and then the bulk of work will start back up strong come spring.
