Employee Benefits


The City of Federal Way offers regular full-time and part-time employees a generous benefits package. Benefits include: 

  • Department of Retirement Systems Pension Plans: PERS, LEOFF 2, PSERS 
  • Federal Way Retirement Systems (a 401(a) social security replacement plan)
  • Employer-paid employee medical insurance: Kaiser Permanente Access PPO or Kaiser Permanente HMO

 Benefits are prorated for part-time employees, commensurate with their FTE.
