Residential Crime Prevention - Neighborhood Block Watch & Apartment Watch The Federal Way Police Department partners with Neighborhoods, HOA's and Apartment communties to help establish block watch programs. A Block Watch program is just a group of neighbors who are all committed to watching out for one another, their neighborhood and partnering with the police department. If you are interested in setting up a block watch program in your neighborhood, please reach out to Lindsey Sperry, Crime Analyst and Prevention Specialist. Crime Prevention Seminars for the Community- The following Crime Prevention presentations are available to community members upon request:
Citizen’s Academy- POSTPONED- Due to COVID19, the Citizen's Academy has been postponed until 2022. Citizen’s Academy offers members of the Federal Way Community a better understanding of the policies and procedures of the Federal Way Police Department. Participants learn about the men and women protecting their community and why they make the decisions they do. Class meets one evening a week for 8 weeks. Classroom sessions cover the basic functions of the Police Department: patrol, traffic, investigations and support services. Participates must be 18 years or older to attend.
