Remote Public Comment Sign-Up

Notice: Beginning November 16th city meetings will be held in-person.

Please note, until Governor Inslee's Proclamation 20-28, et seq. has been rescinded in its entirety, these meetings will take place in a hybrid format allowing the public to attend either in person or virtually via Zoom. 

 

 

 

 

 

  PUBLIC COMMENT - VIRTUAL VIA ZOOM

To speak remotely complete the online Public Comment Sign-Up form below at least one (1) hour prior to the start of the meeting. If you are unable to submit by this deadline, you can participate by attending the meeting in person.

You will receive instructions for how to participate remotely on the day of the meeting using the email address entered when submitting your form.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT - IN-PERSON

To speak in-person during the meeting, submit a public comment sheet found in Council Chambers (at City Hall) to the City Clerk or the Committee Administrative Assistant.

For this option, do not complete the online form below.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT - WRITTEN

 

Written comments may be submitted for the following meetings:

  • City Council
  • FEDRAC - Finance, Economic Development, and Regional Affairs Committee
  • LUTC - Land Use/Transportation Committee 
  • PRHSPS - Parks, Recreation, Human Services, and Public Safety Committee 

By submitting comments via email you are requesting the comments be read aloud at the next meeting. Your comments and email address are considered public records and may be disclosed upon request. All written comments must follow Council Rules of Procedure. Please note, anonymous comments will not be read.

Any written comments received up to one hour before the start of the meeting will be read during public comment of the meeting. Any comments received after this time will be forwarded to the Mayor and City Council and via email.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

In accordance with State Law, the City of Federal Way prohibits any testimony regarding any campaign for election or promotion of, or opposition to, any ballot proposition during the public comment. City Council Rules of Procedure prohibit any personal, impertinent, threatening or slanderous remarks during public comment.

The Mayor or Committee Chair may interrupt comments that continue too long or violate the rules of conduct. No speaker may convey or donate their time for speaking to another speaker. The Mayor has the authority to preserve order at all meetings of the Council and to cause the removal of any person from the meeting for being disorderly.

 

 

THE FORM BELOW IS TO SIGN UP FOR PUBLIC COMMENT VIA ZOOM AT COUNCIL AND/OR COMMITTEE MEETINGS.

Please note, the sign up must be submitted one hour prior to the meeting (at minimum) to allow time for instructions to be provided by staff. Meetings are in-person and you may attend the meeting to provide comments after that time.
