Mark your calendars for this memorable event with excellent visuals!

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 16. The Federal Way Community Center (FWCC) leisure pool will reopen at 10:30 a.m. After the ceremony, Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell will be available for interviews to discuss its significance to the community.

"We appreciate our Federal Way community being patient while we worked behind the scenes," Mayor Ferrell said. "Our dedicated team has been working around the clock with a lot of effort to transform the pool, and we’re excited to share the journey with you from beginning to end. We can't wait to welcome everyone back to the FWCC."

"The community will notice the extensive renovations, including re-plastering, repairs to corroded elements, and the addition of a new play unit and slide," John Hutton, Parks Director, said. "I want to acknowledge my fantastic staff on a job well done. The pool looks beautiful."
