FEDRAC MEMBERSHIP

COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Finance, Economic Development, and Regional Affairs Committee (FEDRAC) is comprised of three councilmembers tasked with policy-level review prior to full council action. The committee reviews issues, policies and agenda items requiring council approval related to the city's budget, fiscal affairs, financial operations, economic development activities, legislative and regional relations.

Examples of recurring topics are: 

  • Financial policies and activity reports
  • Treasury policies and activity reports
  • County, state, and federal legislative issues
  • Franchise agreements
  • Equipment purchases
  • Redevelopment efforts
  • Economic development strategies
     

STAFF RESPONSIBILTIES

The Finance Director and staff support the FEDRAC committee by:

  • Fielding agenda requests and preparing agenda packets
  • Preparing monthly financial reports
  • Recommending policy updates and revisions
  • Researching committee inquires and questions pertaining to City Finance processes, procedures, policies, and reports
