Finance, Economic Development & Regional Affairs Committee (FEDRAC)


Committee Responsibilities 

The Finance, Economic Development, and Regional Affairs Committee (FEDRAC) is comprised of three city council members, tasked with a policy-level review prior to full council action.

This committee reviews issues and policies and agenda items requiring council approval related to the city's budget, fiscal affairs, financial operations, economic development activities, legislative and regional relations.

Some of the items considered by the FEDRAC on a regular basis are:

  • Financial policies and activity reports
  • Treasury policies and activity reports
  • County, state, and federal legislative issues
  • Franchise agreements
  • Equipment purchases
  • Redevelopment efforts
  • Economic development strategies

Staff Responsibilities
The Finance Director and staff support the FEDRAC committee by:

  • Fielding agenda requests and preparing agendas
  • Preparing monthly financial reports
  • Recommending policy updates and revisions
  • Researching committee inquires and questions pertaining to City Finance processes, procedures, policies, and reports
