The City of Federal Way has 397.6 budgeted FTE's in 2023, with an additional 150-200 variable hour and seasonal staff. Our exceptional City staff remains largely non-represented, with labor unions representing our Police Officers, Lieutenants, Commanders, Police Support Services, and Parks and Public Works Maintenance groups.
